US Relations with Pakistan

The US relations with Pakistan have been very close at diplomatic level just after the creation of Pakistan. A glance over the history came to light that the US rose up on many occasions to prevent Pakistan’s descent into anarchy that happened in the time of Indian aggression in 1965, Pakistan’s dismemberment in 1971 and Kargil debacle in 1999. The relationships started with the visit of Prime Minister Liaquat Ali Khan to America that strengthened in the reign of President Ayub Khan. In 1977 Pak US relations flourished when the US assisted Pakistan in industrial and educational sector. The US has been a helping hand for Pakistan whether it is Pakistan’s internal issue or international, calamity or economical issue, Pakistan came out of crisis every time. The US wants to see a strong relationship with Pakistan and a strong democratic government in Pakistan.    

Importance of Pakistan 

Pakistan is an agrarian country that lies in the south Asia it is bounded to west by Iran, to north by Afghanistan, to north east by China and to east and east south by India and to the south by Arabian sea. Its population is 160 million approximately. Islamabad is its capital and four provinces Punjab, Sind, Baluchistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, two centrally administered areas FATA and Gilgit Baltistan and one territory Azad Kashmir. It is the first nuclear state in the Islamic countries and second in the south Asia. It has eighth largest standing armed force. The region of south Asia has very much importance because of a big market for the third world developing countries. It is also the access point of trade of central Asian states like Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan and East Asian countries like China, Japan, Korea and Hong Kong etc. Because of being at geographically important place and having international mutual relationships with its neighbors, Pakistan has very much its importance in the world.   

Islamic Life In America

America is one of the advanced countries in the world where Islam is greatly expanding. American Muslims are diversified throughout America facing contrasting life as compared to Europe and Britain. They are not radical and are taking part in the country’s development.
               Muslim’s history in America is very old when they entered first time and explored future states. After 9/11 they are facing challenges but their faith is firm because Islam is tolerant and peaceful. The young are more observant and vigilant than the old who are in search for Muslim identity despite being integrated to American culture. The immigrants and indigenous Muslim culture is the differential integration of beautiful cultures. They are actively participating in politics, sports and education which have led to their self- identity such as Muhammad Ali, Ahmad Zewail etc personalities. All this is because of Islamic enlightenment which has its influence within America. That is what Muslims have their place although they are 2.3% of the total population but they have equal rights to live, to work and to be educated. Furthermore Muslim’s social representatives at each level are present who support their community.

                    America is the world’s biggest democratic government where Muslim settlements are increasing and this Muslim community belongs to different nations geographically so these people can perform duty in such a way that it can result in respect and grandeur of their nations in the world. So Muslims of America are representing Muslims from all over the world.
